Unit 10 - 1.2 Use analysis to develop research activity.

Unit 10 - 1.2   Use analysis to develop research activity.

This simply means that the research that you do in conjunction with this unit must include analysis. Analysis moves beyond describing and starts to question and look at alternatives, options, and reasons. What if, what about, how and why?

The research must link to your own work, there needs to be an obvious connection between the photography you look at in your research and the work that you produce. This link can be made through written commentary and through the use of your images. Your work needs to show some influence from your research.

Top Tips...

It is essential that you produce your research at the very start of the project if you are looking to attain high grades. Research under-pins your whole project and to produce the research at a later stage will almost certainly restrict your work to pass level.

Use the photographers recommended in the assignment and any that are suggested in your lessons.

Compile a bibliography as you go along and keep a list of sources at the back of your sketchbook. If you can, use Journals and books as a key part of your research.
